My childhood is peppered with penguin memories at my aunt’s house, she loved and collected everything penguin. I wanted to make sure that these penguins stood out in her memories as well. Not only was I able to find beautiful photographs from Vintage National Geographics from 1965 that flowed seamlessly for the wings, but I was able to put a few easter eggs in the snow for her! I loved how the beautiful ocean of the atlas was turned into sky, and the mountains she has come to love and call home were able to make a home in the snow of the penguins. I used vintage copies of National Geographic dating back to 1969 and a Readers Digest Wide World Atlas from 1981.
I had this piece professionally scanned and each piece of text is legible and crisp, even at the smaller print sizes.
