This piece was made for a client from a photo he took of the Tower Bridge in Sacramento, Ca. It definitely was a growing opportunity for me to create. There is so much depth you’ll discover something new each time you look at it. The tower design is comprised of custom paper created for my client of favorite things he liked to do in Sacramento. The water and sky carry strategically torn paper from Fodor’s Up Close, “California” travel book. Look closely and you can see mention of many locations in and around Sacramento, CA. All pieces were cut by hand and I’m not going to lie, sometimes I had to use tweezers to get the pieces in the right spot. This tree up close took over 4 hours alone to cut.

The original commission is a gorgeous 48”x36” and took over 200 hours of labor to complete.
